Paul and the snow

One beautiful winter morning in Canada, Paul wakes up. With his eyes closed, he opens his curtains and discovers the immaculate whiteness of the snow that has fallen in the night in front of his house.

The little boy runs around the house and wakes his parents by pulling on their quilts and shouting: "Daddy, Mummy, it's almost Christmas, it's snowing!"

Very quickly, Paul puts on his coat and boots, keeps his pajamas on and goes off to take his sled. Outside, the other children imitate him, and soon the whole neighborhood is found in the street to play.

Some have snowball battles. Others shoot each other with a sled. Paul's neighbors even make a snowman.

While the air outside is freezing, Paul finds that when he breathes, it almost feels like he's smoking. His mom at the window explains to him that it is the carbon dioxide released from his lungs that is causing this. Paul has fun blowing all over the place, on the windows of the house.

His daddy comes to see him and suggests that all the children have a good hot chocolate. Everyone suddenly stops playing and the neighbors meet in front of Paul's house to enjoy this convivial moment.

Ulysses, Paul's little cousin, is waiting for him at home. He lives in France and discovers Canada. "Why is everyone screaming and running outside?" - It's because it's snowing, Ulysses! "

- It's nice snow, but in France, we don't have a lot of it in town.
- Here, it is very cold in winter, and the snow is falling a lot. But we're used to it, and it's a real treat every year.

"Come on, I'll introduce you to all my Canadian friends. Everyone here is really nice, welcoming. We smile all the time! - I would have to ask Santa for a new hat and a thicker scarf, because I can't wait to play with all your Canadian friends in the cold! "

Paul goes to his room and brings a big scarf, a hat and gloves to his cousin, then they both leave to jump in the snow, laughing. How good it is to live in Canada!
